Having trouble getting that last .1% or .2%? Well heres how you get those pesky map squares in the Inverted Underground Waterway:
1) Perform a Moon Jump (hopefully you got the Boots)
2) When you hit the ceiling immediately turn into the wolf
3) You’ll actually move slightly above the collision params for the floor/ceiling thus registering that square as explored
Some other issues for people who have never played the game is getting into the Jewel Sword room. In that large room at the beginning with the huge rock that has breakable openings. Well pass through it in Mist, Wolf, and Bat form and the doorway will be open.
Still can’t get that extra .1%? Well most of the old outside of the map glitches still work (havn’t been able to get the Sword Brothers Glitch to work). The easiest one is the Double Heart Refresh Trick. To do this you must have beaten the game once, then raised $50,000 to buy a Duplicator from the Librarian. Equip a Heart Refresh to both buttons and the duplicator. Find a door way and jump into it. Before you switch screens use a heart refresh. Immediately press and hold down the other action button. Continue doing this until you notice Alucard slowly sinking into the floor (mostly his cape will be visible) when your well halfway into the floor stop the trick and you switch screens but sink into the floor. This can get you well above the legit map coverage precentage thus getting you that 200.6% and above. What other fun things can you do with this trick? You can get into what would have been the Underground Garden, which is a vertical shaft with a lone save room (glitched in an Alucard game) that is below that stone slab right at the castle gate. Also there is a 3rd Outer Wall (I have not been able to get their in the 360 version yet…) and you can get back into the Nightmare to fight the Succubus as many times as you like. Fun stuff, all in all you can get your percentage well above 215%.
